The first interesting thing about this book is that it is told in the present tense. The series starts with a legend in which they present the qualities of the creatures of darkness and of the creatures of light that are born during each generation and which enter in conflict every time. You might also enjoy a lesser Zelazny novel called CREATURES OF LIGHT AND DARKNESS using Egyptian mythology.
